Students in Kentucky will become leaders in the global STEM-H driven economy.
The STEM-H Institute’s mission is to increase the number of K-20 students in the Commonwealth of Kentucky who are interested in and able to complete the degrees and/or preparation required to enter the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Health (STEM-H) workforce.
Support and expand the long-term partnerships/relationships between EKU faculty, staff and students and K-20 schools and communities to develop integrated collaborations focused on student needs.
Advance the public understanding of the needs and opportunities in the STEM-H disciplines.
Increase the learning opportunities and levels of achievement for K-20 students in the STEM-H disciplines.
Increase the learning opportunities and levels of achievement for EKU students in the STEM-H disciplines.
Encourage and facilitate faculty and staff to seek and manage external funding for their STEM-H activities.
